The design intent for this café was to enable open viewing of the roasting house and offices from all parts of the café. It was important to bring the roasting process to the customers and deliver transparency across the site. 

External facades have been fitted with 6.38mm Comfort Plus Neutral to manage the impact of the western sun and ensure appropriate internal environmental temperatures suitable for patrons. 

To do this Balaclava Glass installed multiple very large single panels, the biggest of which was 4700mm wide and 2200mm high and required 10 staff to lift and install. 12mm clear toughened glass was used. 

All Press Café was one of the first coffee roasters on the Melbourne coffee scene and its design has been replicated across the country.
